Frequently Asked Questions
Take a look at the most common questions from our customers.
Yes, the Formula Pro is a safe and accurate way to make a warm formula bottle instantly. The Formula Pro has been sold for 7+ years globally and delighted hundreds of thousands of parents and earned thousands of 4 and 5-star reviews. The machine goes through extensive testing at the factory and in our lab to make sure it dispenses a perfectly mixed formula bottle every time. We test formulas at least once a year to make sure the machine delivers the same formula to water ratio specified on the formula manufacturer’s label. Additionally, the Formula Pro has an airtight powder canister which is a more hygienic way of dispensing formula while making a bottle vs hand scooping. It’s also more accurate because there’s a high degree of variability when you scoop powder by hand.
It is recommended that formula milk is to be made up with pre-boiled water that has been cooled for 30 minutes to allow it to reach a temperature no less than 70°C. This has been made based on the assumption that the milk will be prepared by hand and possibly not in the most hygienic conditions, even when prepared in hygienic conditions, the guidelines consider that the milk may need to be stored for a time giving the opportunity for bacteria to multiply. The Baby Brezza offers a hygienic alternative with no risk of scalding.
Powder
This will be kept dry until the instant milk preparation and free of human contact. Powder is simply poured from the tin into the clean, dry milk container- no contact, no scoop. The milk container is cleaned monthly, left to completely air dry then reassemble when dry. The powder can then be stored away in a way that does no promote bacteria.
Water
Pre-boiled, cooled water is added to the container- separate from the powder. The water container is cleaned monthly either in the dishwasher or by hand in warm soapy water and left to air dry. The water should be replaced every 24 hours to ensure it remains fresh and clean. Filling the tank with enough water for a days feed is a simple way to ensure it is changed regularly. Monthly, the internal workings of the machine which the water passes through between the water container and the funnel are descaled using vinegar and water and to be thoroughly rinsed to prevent bacteria from having time to grow.
Formula preparation
The water is delivered at room temperature, warmed to body temperature or 40°C according to the user’s choice. It then mixes in the funnel with the powder before passing into the bottle. The funnel is cleaned in warm soapy water and air-dried every 4 bottles to prevent any build-up that could cause contamination and re-assembled with clean, dry hands. The formula milk is only for immediate consumption – no storage, no time for bacteria to flourish.
1. Go to babybrezza.com/fpa to find the correct setting for your formula powder. Press the “powder setting” button repeatedly to select your setting 1-10. It is essential that you choose the correct setting for your formula (brand, type, stage and scoop weight)
2.Press the “ml” button repeatedly to select the volume of water you want to dispense. ML size indicates water volume only. It does not include the volume of powder added when mixing.
3.Press the “temp” button to select the temperature of the formula dispensed. The temperature indicator will flash when heating and stay solid when the set temperature is reached. Formula will not be dispensed until the indicator.
4.Press the “start” button to dispense formula. The Formula Pro will revert to the settings last used after it has been unplugged or switched off. You do not need to select a powder setting every time you make a bottle. You can always change the ML size or powder setting by pressing the buttons again.
5. The Formula Pro will dispense powder and water together, then stop automatically when dispensing is complete. Some clumping may occur with some formula powders inherently difficult to mix with water.
6. PLEASE NOTE: The level will appear higher than the ML size selected because of added powder volume and/or variance in bottle making. Example: 120ml of water plus powder volume is approximately 135ml depending on your formula powder type.4.
No, the Formula Pro doesn’t use boiled water. It allows you to set the water temperature to one of three temperatures (room temp, body temp, warmer than body temp). We recommend that you use distilled water which is 100% pure or use boiled water that’s been cooled down with the Formula Pro.

It is extremely important to clean the funnel after every 4 bottles made (daily), this will keep your Formula Pro dispensing accurately.
1. Remove funnel and funnel cover by pulling out and down. PLEASE NOTE: You do not need to remove the powder container on the powder container parts for daily cleaning.
2. Wash funnel and funnel cover with hot soapy water and rinse well. Air dry completely before re-assembling.
3. Wipe the powder-dispensing hole on the underside of the powder container and remove any spilt powder or milk on the machine using a dry paper towel or soft dry clean cloth.
4. Replace the water in the water container daily to keep it fresh. Tip: To avoid waste and help you remember, only fill the water container with what you think you will need each day. To make this daily clean easier, you can purchase an extra Funnel and Funnel cover.
